kz1000p - throttle cable to carbs pictures

Hey there.
I had my carbs rebuilt, got new rubber for the carbs, etc. but when it comes time to putting the carbs back on the bike I'm confused. The main problem I have is not knowing exactly how the throttle linkage is routed from the handlebar to the carbs. I've tried it next to the frame within the gas tank and that seems to tight, and going through some of the frame seems logical but it's not really long enough as when I turn the handlebars to the left it seems to bind.
It's on a 1997 KZ1000p so does anyone have pictures or advice on the routing of the cable?

Is everything the same as before? exact same throttle cables. same handlebars. same throttle grip assy.

Yes all exactly the same. Took them off now it's a challenge.

If I look at the KZ1000p motorcycle service cycle supplement manual it has a grainy picture saying to "route the cables as shown" with notes to be 'inside fork leg' and 'under frame braces'. Unfortunately I'm not sure with cable length so some pictures from anyone with this bike and the route shown would be great.

Mine is routed from the handlebar straight through the fork legs on the right side of the backbone to the carbs. I don't have a push/pull throttle. Just the pull...

Thanks - I'll try it and see if that gets it.

Only way seems to be to the right of the forks and then on the right side through the backbone. Anything else seems wrong as it binds when turning handlebars.
