Measurement needed. 750E throttle cable was created by martin_csr
I'm looking for the total length & amount of slack for a KZ750E oem throttle cable. Kawasaki part number = 54012-1058
It's probably a long shot that someone has that cable laying around, but what the heck & Thanks in advance.
The Motion Pro cable below is about 43" L & 3-7/8" slack. I just laid it flat next to a yard stick to measure, then added about an inch to account for the throttle end bend. If anyone has a MP 03-0112 to measure, that would be good too.

... Motion Pro throttle cable for the 750E = 03-0112

I remember this topic came up a few years back and I measured my spare motion pro cable and posted here

I still have not needed to use the spare so am unable to swear that it will fit my 80 750E1

Replied by martin_csr on topic Measurement needed. 750E throttle cable
Thanks. I don't remember that topic at all. doh. The MP 03-0112 measurements don't match the Z1Enterprises measurements. In addition to being too long, I couldn't get it installed into the carb cable bracket because there wasn't enough slack which needs to be at least 4.0". So the oem 750E cable won't work either. Finding a cable had become such a pain, I thought about ordering a custom cable with a few mms of extra slack, but never got around to it.

Bummer.

Next time I have the gas tank off I should try the Motion Pro spare for fit.
Five or more years back I had a throttle cable break and replaced it on the side of the road with a spare I carried and which I probably got from Z1E but cant remember brand. Its an easy roadside repair to do but would be a royal PITA if the thing didn't fit
