Silly question...
23 Jun 2018 10:44
While the tank is being prepped for paint, ...is there a way to run the fuel line into a gas can, using only gravity to feed carbs? Thanks!!

I made a remote tank out of a piece of ABS sewer pipe with a cap on one end which has been drilled/tapped for a brass nipple. I put a hook on the top so it can be hung up after filling with gasoline.

I use a plastic lawnmower fuel tank as an auxiliary fuel tank & bungee cord it to the frame with some brackets. The mower tank plastic is fairly thick & heavy duty.

So, it will feed off gravity, instead of the centrifugal pump?

What motorcycle is it? You mentioned carburetors in the topic post, so they would be gravity fed on any KZ. ie, no fuel pump with carbs.

I'm a tad confused as well. The motorcycle he's been working on is a Spectre 1100, so it shouldn't have a fuel pump or not even an accelerator pump.
If you go with an auxiliary fuel tank of some sort, you can install an in-line lawnmower shutoff valve.
Keep in mind that there's a fire danger, so make sure the tank is secured properly so that no one can knock if off the work bench, motorcycle or whatever.

I went with an auxiliary tank like the one linked to earlier. And I got a cheap IV pole like this one to hold it.
IV Pole
Worked like a charm.
