I bought two throttle wires.
Kawa number 540121012 - Cable, Throttle, Open
Kawa number 540121013 - Cable, Throttle, Close

What I find strange is one of them is black on the metal and one has chrome, and the angle is not the same?
The black one looks to have correct angel / bend....

Somebody know something about these ?

As I see it would it look better if both was black and had the same bend / angle as the black one ?

Take a look at the image in the link below; it is a KZ650-D4. Even though both cable ends are chrome, one looks different than the other. Ed

Thank you, but they looks more identical then the two I have ... hem.
But are there any different when it comes to length of wire or something for these two wires, I was thinking just purchase one more black...

I have looked on ebay today and I have found black with both open (54012-1012) and close (54012-1013)

What is the different between open and close wire, it looks to me differences since Kawa has given them two identical part number?
Has the seller on ebay marked it with wrong part number ? is both the same?
Can I just both a black close and open (links above) ?

It will looks better if both is black :)

Slightly different curvatures allow rotation without interference when threading them into position.

Where did you get the cables? From the same seller or two different sellers? Are they OEM or Aftermarket? Without links it's difficult to guess.
Motion Pro are the most common aftermarket cables. Motion Pro cable ends can be black or silver. Some Motion Pro cable ends are black when the OEM were silver.

It should be OEM parts.

The question I have is the there any physical difference between the open and close wire?

Okey, So I cannot install both of the same type.
Can you help me with one thing :) if you take a look at my picture (start), witch of them is close and open wire?
I need to order a new, but I don`t know witch of them is what :)

If you saying they are not identical, then I can properly find it by checking what wire goes in men I give throttle:) ?

hehe

Thank you

You may need to verify whether or not the black cable is oem. As for the fitment, the KZ650CSR throttle cables are different, and that's why there are two parts numbers. The CSR came stock with buckhorn handlebars, so that may have something to do with the sizes of the metal curved ends. You could try repositioning them so that they are kind of parallel to each other, whatever looks right.

The cables don't have to be different, so you could use two of the same throttle cables, but make sure there is enough cable slack.
The open cable slack should be at least 4.0 inches. A little longer is okay, but too short may not fit into the carburetor bracket.
The closing cable slack is about 3.75". These should be the measurements of the cables in your topic post.

I don't know if the 81 KZ650-D4 uses the same cables as the 650CSR.
The 650F cables could be a better match, but it is hard to say for sure without definite part numbers for the D4.
