air box boots was created by mnrenfro
picked up a 76 KZ400-D3 and working to bring it back to life. Looks like the boots between the airbox and carbs are about impossible to find, so I'm using some fresh air hose from a VW bug. Anybody know where to get these boots?

Heres one w the airbox. There are a few others floating around for sale. If you want NOS, try www.cmsnl.com I ordered some hard to find brake caliper o rings I couldnt find anywhere else...even though they are located in the Netherlands, shipping was 2-3 days.

I had trouble finding a set for my '76 KZ400 also. I made a pair from 2" 90* Fernco plumbing fittings which were about 6" long. I cut the hubs off the fittings using only the softer inner section trimmed to an angle to match the airbox. They're a little stiffer than stock but worked perfectly. They're available at HomeDEpot for around $8

Follow up pic of what boots look like. Clamps are temporary, narrow band ones will be used when i'm finished. Right now I'm just trying to get this running correctly before I do a complete tear down to frame and restoration

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHeres a link to the other side Carb Manifolds. Please note: These are aftermarket versions of 16065-037 - I ordered from another vendor on ebay similar ones, and the main problem is the steel does NOT go far enough inside the boot to hold the weight of the carbs, and over time, the rubber will rip. I asked the seller for specs on the link Im about to share, and will post them when I receive them.
