Hi there folks! Anyone with experience from rejetting teikei carburetors tk22 on a z500b3 1981?

Ive dropped the airbox and installed 4 individual airfilters and Need to size up needles for more fuel. What size is recommended?

Todays sizes: main jet #90, needle jet V#90, pilot jet #32.

You probably don't have to replace the needles, just shim them properly. I would start with a .5 to .6mm shim, but collect as many different thicknesses as you can.

The last time I jetted a Tk22 Kz550 for pods, we found we could just use all stock jets and shim the needle. This was with a pretty restrictive exhaust, though. It's not perfectly ideal, but runs perfect. The only downside is that the cruising fuel economy is not the greatest. The upside is that it comes off choke sooner so is easier to ride in cold weather.

Thanx! Exactly what Im going to do as I now have 2 sets of original jets. Start shimming bigger and bigger until it works properly....
