I finally got into taking my carbs apart and found that all of the pilot jets were completely plugged and even the tubes from the bowl up to the jets were plugged as well.

I managed to get two of the pilot jets out but stripped the heads of the other two. I tried using a heat gun, tapping the screw lightly with hammer and screwdriver, using cleaner, WD-40, tried tightening it first before trying to unscrew it, all to no avail.

My question is, can someone give me advice as how I am to drill out the pilot now, because I think that is my only option left, and I don't want to ruin the carbs, and have never had to drill a screw out before.

Thanks.

I personally wouldn't try drilling the little 22/210 VM24 pilot jets out... you will definitely ruin the carbs because even if you dril the jets, there is little possibility of doing it perfectly where you will be able to put new thread in the pilot jet well with a tap. I would use an easy-out as these will typically remove most stuck pilot jets. Just try and use good feel so you don't break off the very brittle little easy-out when you start turning out the stuck jet.

Thanks. Auto-parts stores should sell them typically right? (Easy out sets)
