Interesting read, well a little anyways. I often wonder how much more pollutants we are putting in the air with alcohol enriched fuel.
As an example a few years ago I was able to take on a tank full of pure gas in my full sized Bronco, 351 auto with tow package. We went to my daughters for Christmas which is about one tank of gas (32 gals) I filled up when we got there and did the math. I got one full mile per gallon better gas mileage just by using pure regular. I don't recall how many gallons I took on but my daughter lives 300 something miles away. I figure I put approximately 2 gallons less of burnt gas in the air on that trip.
Both my motor cycles run better on pure gas. The 900 get pure regular which I can get here in town and the C14 gets pure premium which I can get 12 miles away.
