Throttle Valve Replacement ?

I have a set of 28mm mikuni accelarator pump carbs. that I have totally cleaned and rebuilt. They have a 2.0 Throttle Valve. I'm going to use these carbs. on my 77' KZ1000A I'm preparing for motor rebuild which will be with a 1075 kit and so on ( ported heads and cams , etc. ).

My stock 26mm carbs. on my KZ have 1.5 Throttle Valves.

Would there be any Benefit to swap out the 28 throttle valves to the 26 throttle valves ?

Just brainstorming you guys who know so much more than I.

I would. They'll run lean otherwise. Compare the needle jets, needles and emulsion tubes too.

I haven't jetted these 28 carbs. yet. Not until I get the motor rebuilt. Have a person close by me that Neissem recommended to rebuild motor and have talked to him.

So if I can rob parts off my 26's ( emulsion tubes and needles )that will give the 28's better performance, I'm down with that. It will be interesting to compare them.

Find out what they are and we can compare. What year did the 28's come off of?

Purchased off of eBay. Said they were from a 79' KZ1000 ?
