BS34 CV's compared to RS34 Flat Slide's
07 Jun 2017 19:23 - 07 Jun 2017 19:27
Thinking about trying these again, in place of the Flat Slides...
I wonder how well they'd work, and if the original single throttle-cable will work in the dual-cable unit on the bike.
New vacuum slides were installed last year.

Why do you want to switch?
I ran a single cable on a double for years on a GS Suzuki worked fine, do the fittings fit?

Depending on comparative performance and fuel efficiency, I may opt to use them for a while...
I honestly can't remember how well the BS34's worked, but after all the practice I've had on the RS's, tuning them should be a breeze.
Hopefully the throttle cable length works, but both control units take the identical elbow fitting.
The KRS velocity stacks will not fit the BS34's 2mm larger bell-mouth diameter without utilizing an adapter of some sort.

Drivability will improve with the cv's a bit. but well tuned flats work VERY well.
I think CV's may give better roll on too but that has a lot to do with throttle control with the flats , whacking open flats is different than whacking open cv's
And I found tuning flats was easier then cv's but thats me. CV's and pods can be a pain to jet but it can be done and they work well too.
Using flat slide cv's like on the mid ninetys Gixers is something I would like to try
Good luck I will be interested in the results of the back to back comparison.
