KZ 1100 carbs

Hi
I'm new on this forum so on the beginning greetings from Poland.
Couple weeks ago I bought Kawasaki KZ 1100 J 1983 which was standing still from 2004. So started slightly to rebuild all parts to check if the engine works. Now carbs turns, I have Clymer service manual but can't understand how to check float level, how to measue it having float chamber open. If someone can halp me in this matter, and/or whole parts that must be checked in that carb. This carbs does not look complicated (in comparation to Yamaha V-Max) so should not be a problem.
Any remamarks/issues that I should look at will be welcommed.
Piotr

Definitely your torturial was helpful, just another cab. I have Clymer but even there is mistake because the cap is different than mine. I think I'll get that somehow anyway, just what I need is the figures like the float high. I know they recommends checking fuel level but must do some adjustments having all apart.

Well, hard to say. In German documents is written J, but mistakes can allway occur. What can detemine if that is A or J? Maybe VIN or something???
