1976 Kz900A - 17.5 pilot, 115 main
1676 Kz900B - Same as above.

You can always go to Partzilla.com (or any number of other only suppliers) and look at the free part diagrams.

Cool,thanks
I cleaned up a set over the Winter and have been running 17.5 pilots and 107.5 mains
Stock air box and 2-1 Jardines
The bike takes off better then it ever did but I know it is running a bit rich, plus I'm only getting 30 mpg when I was getting around 45
I'm going to give some 105's a try.
We are planning to do some riding in high elevations and I think they will work better there too.

I need an updated brain tune up also! I took a job on week or two from now with an original 76 KZ900 that I actually owned thru 1977-1980.
To clean the carbs and change sprockets and chain.
But over and over here! The MIN jet! The main functions from 3/4 to full open throttle! How many of you Guys actually do a full throttle kill chop to check your plug readings at full throttle?? Maybe if you lived out in the South West desert some where?
Here is a basic explanation of Mikuni carb functions. Almost forgot this!

www.iwt.com.au/mikunicarb.htm

And that Jet Needle it has 5 clip positions for a reason!
check this read out. Then think back to the standrd way of thinking!
4 into 1 header! Pods air filters! Bigger Main Jet!
Thats why Kawasaki and Mikuni basicly experimented for the first 3-4 years. Then the most basic, simple stock carb was the 26mm that came on the 76 KZ900. Then! You think tree huggers are new! NOT! that's what accelerator pump carbs were for! in 78 low 105-107.5 main jets. The pump gave the throttle a little help when you twisted a handful. The carbs were set to run lean and engine hot to burn all the fuel.
From my first Z1 in 1977 till about mid 90's when I gave the street bikes up. I still could never tune them perfect.
Thats why I love my original Bendix Zenith Carb on the 75 FLH. has a "C" main tube, factory Harley had A - B - C tubes. 30 yr old Blue Streak Chevy points! A newer DYNA 5.0 ohm coil. The original split fire plugs from the 90's that have been glass beaded about 25 times. Still burn white at the tips! 3 twists of the throttle with the acc. pump and it starts right up. 4-5 twists in cold weather.
Just my 2 cents.

Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY
Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!
