Help identify these carbs
30 Apr 2017 18:42 - 30 Apr 2017 18:43
Hi team,
I picked up some extra carbs thinking they were the same as mine and that I could use them for spares. Turns out they are slightly different than my late 75 vm28s.
Main difference is that it seems the fuel line may come in from both sides. My carbs have two inlets, one for each set, so each carb only has one fuel port. These have two.
Another difference is that it looks like the pilot jet can go in one of two holes opposite from each other. My carbs only have one spot for a pilot jet.
These came with the same float bowls as mine. The bowls have the drain screw in the side instead of the large hex in the middle.
Let's play: Name. that. Carb!

My guess is 1976 Kz900 VM26's. You can measure the outlet ID and that will at least tell you the size.

ID on the engine side is 28mm. They are not however the same late 75 vm28sc that I have on the bike. Maybe early vm28s?

'73-75 Z1 Vm28's look basically identical. Only other 28mm that I know came o the Z1R and maybe the Kz1000E Shaft.
