Nope, nothing for granted, that was why I was asking about the pilot, but this morning I took the other BS34 I had, stripped it down and compared it to the other one, am posting a picture in case someone else runs into the same issue. The carb on the right was the original one from the 1100, and the one on the left is one from the other rack. The only outward, obvious difference is the tops that go over the diaphragm. The original KZ carb DOES have the passageway between the two jets (red straw) the other BS34 does not, so I am guessing putting a plug in the one on the left is a bad idea...
