Hello!
I am currently redoing what I believe to be VM26SS carbs, but I am not 100% sure and before I buy new gaskets and jets I would like to both make sure that I understand without a doubt what carb it is and that I am getting the correct jets for it to run right. These carbs were pulled off a 1978 KZ650B2A.

Main Jet:112.5
Pilot Jet:15
4-1 Pipes (That I Believe have pinholes that need patching )

-Thanks for the help and sorry for the terrible photography and lack of knowledge.

Those are not VM26 carbs. They are either VM24 or VM22 carbs. The image below will help you identify which ones they are. Ed

Thank you! They would appear to be VM22ss or just VM22's carbs then? It has only one adjustment screw at the bottom.

Would you happen to have any recommendations for jetting? Or should I just go with stock?

I used the term VM22, but yes they are officially called VM22SS carbs. If you are running the stock airbox and air filter (a VERY good idea!) I recommend using the stock jetting. Also, unless there is damage I wouldn't replace any of the jets or needles with aftermarket parts as they are often not very precise.

One other note - don't mix parts between carbs as that can cause issues. If you disassemble them either do one at a time or use 4 plastic containers - one for each carb. Ed
