29mm smoothbore options

Stratman put me onto a set of 29mm smoothbores on ebay(thanks) but I was outbid. More than $1000 Canadian. I took mine off of my Rickman and put them on my '75 Z1(with similiar motor work) and would like a set of carbs for the Rickman.( Wiseco 1075cc, 10.5:1, welded crank, head work and oil cooler.) Looks like I might be able to put new carbs on for comparable $. (Saw another set of smoothbores on ebay asking $1200!) I would appreciate any suggestions for alternates.
Jerry
Started work on roller starter so I can try to start the Z1.

I saw some 28 pumpers on KZ Market $200. Some 26's $150. Hell if I can get those prices, I might sell my 33's and buy some flat slides. B)

The prices of these have gone a little nuts lately....... for some reason the 33s are way cheaper more in the 300 dollar range although sometimes a little more. I'd no way pay that now and buy the new 29s or probably a set of 28s. I just hope I don't hang onto mine too long and the price drops.....

Just came back from the bank and it cost $136 for $100 U.S. dollars so although $650 is a fair price, with shipping and exchange it is probably over a grand. Uneven economy crap is for the birds.

Steve for the way you use yor bike I don't think you'd like the flat slide's.
When used with pod's they make a lot of rattle noise at low throttle opening.

Now a 29 CR Special would be the cat's ass for you I'd think.
