LTD 400 Carb to air box boots
26 Nov 2016 17:21
Hello I'm a new member and am trying to get my Dad's 79 400 LTD running again. The air box is gone so I fabricated one following this thread
kzrider.com/forum/3-carburetor/599569-custom-air-box-for-kz440
I need to find the air box to carb boots, or something that will work. Most of the rubber hose I have found is a little too stiff to make the slight bend necessary to connect the two
Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks but no luck. I wonder if ducts from another year, engine size, or even different brand of motorcycle would work? There are some on ebay for 1000cc but no dimensions, guess I'll have to contact them.
Thanks again

I have seen people use things like Rancho shock boots or radiator hose for carb to airbox boots. You may be able to browse through the selection of radiator hoses from a local auto parts store looking for something that has the correct ID/OD and the approximate bends that you need. Once at home you can then cut it to the lengths that you need.
