Doesn't really matter. You will need the same amount of therapy no matter which size you use.
Type "pods pod filter" into the search box on this forum and be prepared for a great deal of frustrated reading. The CV carbs on your bike are very sensitive to changes in airflow and are notoriously difficult to tune for individual filters. So difficult that a couple of members have hand fabricated a custom intake in attempts to covert to a single carb. You will be much better off. With the stock setup.

Be sure to get some real pods from K&N and not those junky dime store quality pods from Emgo or similar. Prepare to spend some real money including a cleaning kit. Also, as TexasKZ mentions, get ready for some serious jetting rework. Purchasing a jet kit if one is available is a good idea.

If you still want to try pods, measure the flange of the carburetor (where the pod will clamp on) then find a pod with the correct inside diameter. As the other guys mentioned, be prepared for frustration, you will need to change your pilot jet and maybe the main jet to get the bike running decently. Or buy a jet kit.

Some of these guys on this forum couldn't tuna fish
Your air box is the same as the '80/83 KZ440 LTD.
The air filter is just a piece of foam glued in the snorkel that screws onto the air box itself.
If you still want to go with individual filters check out page 12 on the link in my signature.
