Make sure fuel filter is meant for a motorcycle. Filters designed for automobkle use often only work when used with a fuel pump. I'd use one designed for a ride on lawn mower in preference to an automobole fuel filter

02 Sep 2016 14:16This relatively common inexpensive style in-line fuel filter is popular, works well, and is readily available at many sources, including motorcycle and lawn mower dealers and repair shops, online such as ebay, automotive parts stores, etc.

Other more substantial in-line filters are also available.

I'm about to go to Ace Hardware and pick up a filter, as well as fill my air tank to blow some air through my passages. If this doesn't do it, I'll be surprised.

Any gas come out when you open the drain srew in the carb bowl ?
Not many things can cause no gas in one of the two carbs
Sticking float, maybe and upside down one but Im not sure on that. Float gets hung upon the inside wall of the bowl ?
Float set way out to totally block fuel flw
Sticking float valve/needle? You could try tapping on the float bowl with the handle of a screwdriver and see if it resolves.
Major piece of gunk in the fuel T between carbs ?.... and it would have to be pretty major .
Cant think of anything else.

Yup, getting fuel out when I open the screw. I tapped on the side pretty aggressively with no results. There could be a blockage but once I empty the bowls I can blow plenty of air through both sides so I'm not sure if that's the issue...

Not sure i understand why you are blowing on the fuel line.
If carbs are back on the bike and you open the drain screw and gas comes out both bowls then both carbs are getting gas.
You have cleaned the jets and blown them out and checked fuel levels so if the bowls are getting gas then the cylinders should be getting gas.
Are you still sure its a carb problem? If you pull the plug from the side not firing is it wet with gas.?
Are you sure its not an ignition problem ? Bad plug caps? Plug wires? Connections? Plugs ?

Hey guys! I finally caught a break the other day when my bike totally lost spark. A faulty condenser explained all of my issues (even though it was only a couple months old) so i took the cover off to find that there was moisture in there. I'm assuming that's what killed my condenser. Threw a new one in along with some new points and boom! It runs once again. Only problem is, it doesnt run smoothly. Its very jumpy and scattered unless im at WOT or high rpm...do I need to regap my points or is this a mixture issue?? Thanks!
