Dynojets carb kit

I have a 82 kz550 ltd that I got a dynojet for I swapped out the stock needles for the new needles these ones have 6 slots at the top for the clip, I went with #4 slot (starting at the top slot being #1) and replace the stock main jets with 108 jets. Now it's together and I started it up to adjust the air screws and as soon as it started the rpms started to wrap up. I need help to get it running smoothly again

Did you bench sync the carbs before reinstallation?
Are the intake boots like new and are the carbs fully seated in them? Clamps tight?
Are you sure that the throttle cables are lubed and properly adjusted?
Did you install cheap pod filters that block the air jet intake on the intake rim of the carbs?

That sounds super rich. The main is too big, even with stock needles, and the needle is set too rich, even for stock jets, but the two together will be very rich. The runaway idle probably means something has changed on the slide linkage etc, as that had to be disassembled to change the needles. Or it means you may have had a huge vacuum leak all along.
