Not sure what you call these bikes in the US. A buddy gave me a set of these and I'm wandering if I can use the jets from these on my Spectre carbs? Since fitting some pods and a straight through exhaust the Spectre is running lean.

Also wondering about raising the needles or lowering the floats to richen it up a bit?

Hey JoHNY!

In North America that model is commonly known as the Ninja 750. 1987 GPx750R...the first Kawasaki attempt at a GSXR750 equivalent. Good enough bike I guess, but it ain't no GSXR!

To my knowledge, all Mikuni main and pilot jets are pretty much interchangeable between the different carb models. However, I don't think those carbs themselves would be a "bolt on" for any of the air cooled engines. If they would even fit???? Is the spacing even the same?

If you are in the British Isles - why not see about getting a used set of early GSXR750 carbs? I have a set of smooth bore Mikuni TM33?? flat-slides (not CV) that I was told came out of a U.K. special production racing model 1988 or 89 GSXR750 "Slingshot"...

What is the name of the Grumpy Spares guy in the U.K.? Gary Hurd, I think...he might know where to get those carbs.

Cheers Kray, yes the Ninja carbs are more or less the same except they are narrower and the main jets are actually smaller. I owned one of these in the late 80's and toured Europe on it just when the ZX750 was just coming out
