Kz750 Spectre throttle problem was created by zdc28
Hi guys, so I bought a 1983 kz750 spectre couple weeks ago and iv ran into a problem that I can't seem to figure out. I just cleaned the carbs and cleaned the gas tank and got it started but everytime I rev it past 3000rpm it revs itself up to 5000rpm and stays there after the throttle is let go. No idea why.
Here's a link to a video I posted on YouTube about the problem

Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks,

Vacuum leak or the throttle cable is sticking. You may want to change the rubber carb runner boots that attach to the head and make sure your airbox is sealed well and the filter is in place and sealing as well. These bikes don't like any monkey business going on where the carbs can suck false air.
