Hi, first post ever!

Anyways, I have a 81 KZ440 and the rubber things that hold the carbs to the engine that is screwed in with two screws are both cracked and causing my bike to run really poorly. What are these parts called? Second, where can I get them? Does anyone have any that aren't cracked?

carb boots.anything rubber is gonna get old and dryrot over time.try z1 enterprises or someone in the links section.

carb insulators are available at K&L supply good quality aftermarket. there all sorts of nifty things available there all motorcycle tools and o rings insulators etc...

I got mine for a 79 400 right from the local Kaw dealer for $17 each.

also if these are both cracked could this be why my kawa is cutting out just past idle and will only run with choke on?

i would think if boots are cracked really bad you would have a vacuam leak and leaving choke on is smoothing it out a little with extra fuel.
