Petcock

Hi all
I've got myself a project bike a 1976 kz400 but the pet cock is well and truly had it and finding a rebuild kit is proving difficult, ive found plenty of aftermarket ones that state they fit the 1976 model but the space between the screw holes are 34mm when mine are 20mm, any links to anywhere selling a replacement petcock?

20mm sounds VERY small to me. Are you sure you are measuring correctly? The measurement should be taken from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole, not just the space between the two holes. Ed

Yes it does seem small as all I can find are 34mm, here's a pic attached.

That is narrow! I suspect eBay may be your only option for a replacement. Ed

I have a '76 KZ400 and I don't think my petcock looks like yours. Is it the stock tank?

A pic of the tank would help. I'll bet a few of the gents on here could identify the tank if it is not stock.

Looks like a stock KZ400 tank.
I'll check mine when I get home tonight and see how far apart the mounting holes are.
Are you trying to replace the entire thing or rebuild it?
