If your carbs have the small yellowish plastic washers above and below the eclip on your jet needle, you should have the spring as well. Not all slides use the plastic washers and spring method but if yours does, the jet needles will flop around more than they should and could present a dangerous situation where the throttle can stick open... make sure your throttle slide stop screw is set per factory recommendations so the jet needles don't come out of the needle jets with the throttle wide open.

ok, i didnt have any spring or yellow washer and i did set the throttle stop to a good height!
