83 KZ1100 shaft new to me carb removal was created by jdvorchak
I just picked up this KZ1100 (LTD?) been sitting only a year but only running on 2 3 and 4. Going to pull the carbs and see what I have. Just wondered if there are any tips or tricks to removing the carbs with OEM air box?
Looks like I can just push the boots into the air box and there is plenty of room to remove the carbs. Boots are still pretty flexible and soft.

There are a couple little "L" shaped brackets near the rear of the air box. If you remove them you will gain a little extra room to move the air box toward the rear. Ed
