Impact of 4-1 plus Supertrapp on carb mods?

I have a 82 Gpz750 with a 4-1 header that has a Supertrapp exhaust. It is "tunable" by adding/subtracting discs. I left everything stock as far as jetting and needle placement. Also stock airbox with stock filter. Wondering the impact of the 4-1 plus Supertrapp and if I am missing something by not jetting and/or using a more free flowing air filter. How does the more open exhaust interact with carbs and air?

Assuming you are not removing the discs I would expect the stock jetting to be ok. However, to check to see if the carbs do need rejetting I would install a new set of spark plugs, put some miles on the bike with the new exhaust, and then check the plugs to see if the engine is running lean, rich, or just about right. That disc tune setup is usually a flow restriction compared to stock. I've heard of people using a Reaaaally long bolt and stacking 2-3" of discs over the 'recommended amount to boost performance
