Starting turns of air pilot screw? Final turns?

As far as I know 79-up KZ1000 have air pilot screw (fuel pilot screw up to 78)
I started with 2 turns out, then turned to 1.5 turns (richer). It feels like I need at least 1/4 more turn in. So I will end up with about 1 to 1 1/4 turns out.
Is it close to yours?

the manual says 1 1/4 turns. mine is at 3/4 and its running correctly and the plug color is correct.
but there ya go every combination is different.
