Brand New Keihin Carbs - bike won't turn over was created by kawasakisubaru
I just purchased a set of Keihin CR29 carbs from dynoman performance.
I also installed new dyna coils.
Installation was easy. I hooked up the gas line, let it sit with the petcock open for about 2-3 minutes to let the float bowl fill.
Upon pressing the starter button the bike did some popping and sounded like it wanted to turn over, but never did.
I check each spark plug to make sure its receiving a spark - each plug had a spark and i could even see a little black deposit on it.
Plugs #3 and #4 even had a little wet residue on it. Leading me to believe, if anything, its a little rich.
Checked the intake boots for leaks, and retightened the clamps around the spigot.

My carbs are set as such:
Main 120
Air Jet 250
Needle YY8 on clip 4
Slow Jet 60

And I think, but I'm not sure, they came from dynoman performance with the air screw 1 1/4 turns out, which is what I've heard its a "stock" setting.

Can anyone help?

You say the bike wont turn over.
Do you mean the electric start will not crank the engine over?
Or that she is turning over, but wont start?

You added new coils, so double check the wiring.
The mounting posts on Dyna coils are very close to the wire connections, depending on which holes you use.
If this is the case for yours, wrap the posts with something to prevent power from jumping over to the mounting posts.

Also try swapping the two wires going to the coils from the ignition system, they are usually green and black wires.
If they are backwards, the spark plugs will still spark, but at the wrong time.

In the picture below, notice the blue plastic wrapping the right post:

I figured out the issue. I hadn't properly plugged one of the wires into the dyna coil, those SOB's were tough to get on.
Thanks for that picture rstnick. I had noticed those screws were pretty close to the wires, I'll wrap them in some insulation, that looks like a good idea.
