750E throttle cable measurements

Does anyone have a 750E throttle cable handy to measure? I'd like to verify the dimensions before ordering one. Z1Enterprises lists the measurements of a motion pro cable as 39-3/4" L with 4.0" slack (MP03-0112), but sometimes the m.p. cables don't match the listed dimensions, The overall length end-to-end can be a nuisance to measure exactly because of the curved ends, but the slack measurement
needs to be fairly precise. Thanks.

I wouldn't run a Motion Pro cable unless you have no other choice. The quality is not as good. A new OEM cable is only $25.40 from Partzilla.

I pulled out my spare cable from under the seat. Motion Pro # 03-0112. I always carry a spare throttle and clutch cable .

I measured slack at 3 7/8 inch from top of the ferrule to the metal threads and measuring a string laid along the sheath I get 40 inches so I would say the advertised lenghts are close enough to what I got

Thanks. the 40 inches is just the sheath, not including the inner cable. correct? I have one of those 03-0112 cables --- the inner cable is ~43.25" L w 3.75" slack. the outer sheath w adjusters is about 39.5".

Nessism, the oem measurements would be very helpful, so whenever you can check that would be great. the m.p. cable I have doesn't have enough slack. doh.

When I take the cover off the bike in a couple of weeks time I guess I should try it for size and see if it fits given what you say, Ed's comments and a recent post by GregZ regarding motion pro

The cable I've got came on my bike when I bought it with 11k miles. There is 3.5" of cable stroke and the inner is 40" long. If you measure the cable length sticking out of the inner it's about 3.75" including the barrel end.

Thanks. Just to be clear, the max length of the 750E oem cable is about 40" from one barrel end to the other. correct? So the motion pro cable I got is about 3" too long at least. doh.
