Build Your Own Throttle Cables

:) Anyone here used a KNARP for a throttle cable?

In my diligent but failed quest to find ready-made throttle cables for an obsolete Kawasaki dual cable throttle control, I found what appears to be the perfect solution. :cheer:

At this point, I've resolved to make two cables from four.
With the curved steel end-pieces (specific for the control) from two used cable assemblies, and the outer protective sheath (with carb-end adjuster/nuts) from two others, can then build them with the inner-cables cut to the exact lengths needed....with just one KNARP each

For those interested, several varieties of mechanically attached cable ends are available.
various types of cable ends

As known, the old fashion method for attaching a standard cable end is to insert the cable through an end, spread the cable tip strands before soldering amongst the spread strands, in order to prevent the cable from pulling back through the end, which may be ground smooth.

Good Fortune! :)
