When pulling off hoses (fuel lines, raduator hoses, evap lines, vacuum lines, etc) never twist, pull and yank. If you did this to other people's stuff I guarantee you'd be buying parts to fix what you broke. Get a good set of picks, screwdrivers CAN work but on bigger hoses. Push the pick into the metal, then twist so you are between the hose and the barb you are removing the hose from, work it around to break the seal then remove by pushing or pulling from the back of the hose.

If the hose is newer or has had the seal broke somewhat recently, pushing with a screwdriver, from the back, is easier than pulling, yanking on a hose is like playing with them chinese finger traps.
