VM28 or Vm26 Pumpers

i'm building a mild 1075 10.5-1 comp ,ported heat , 5 angle valve job , with GPZ cam , 4-1 Kerker with baffle , Dyna ignition and good foam pods , should i go with VM28s or VM26 pumpers , i got both in stock now
less is more

Uh, 28s at the very least, I'm sure somebody will say 29 smoothbores, that's a lot to even consider 26s for
my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)

i have access to 34 Keinhs , but i dont wanna use venturi carbs

Most, if not all of the power increase from 83 -90 hp on the Z1R, over the stock KZ1000, comes from the 28mm carbs vs 26mm as the rest of the motor and cams are the same, the only other difference being the 4-1 exhaust, which I don't know was more efficient than the 4-2 factory system. So of the choices you have I would definitely go for 28mm.
I have the same big bore kit on mine and the 28mm carbs and certainly don't see any downside in terms of the supposed reasons Kawasaki went to the 26mm carbs on the KZ1000, If you are making the other mods to help the head flow, then you need the bigger carbs for certain and even they may not be enough to fulfill the potential of your build.

With the mods, bigger is the definite plus. U can't go wrong. Adjustments from there are easy.

I'm running Wiseco 1075cc, 10.25:1 Pistons with 4 into 1 Denco headers, stock 26mm carbs, jetted pretty close , fresh head and valves.... and this thing hauls serious ASS!!

Bikes run good with 26's, but if you were as lucky as the OP to have a set of 28's lying around at your disposal I don't doubt they'd find a way onto your bike
With the GPZ cams etc. you'd definitely want the 28's IMO, even a stock bike can benefit from 28's hence my original comments about the Z1R. The benefits of smaller carbs are usually that they are easier to tune and idle better at the expense of some top end power.

29 Smoothbores are not worth the added $ over a set of VM28's on this type of build.
