Carb clamp replacement
16 Oct 2015 00:48
Looking for a suitable carb manifold clamp.. Not really wanting to use hose clamps but my factory clamps are in pretty bad shape. I didn't see any on Z1 websight or ebay.

The 1100 should have the same bs34 carbs the kz1000J bikes do, would probably think any 1000J boots would work (81 and up J M K and police bikes)

I bought those and of course they have to be returned. They are defenitely not for 1100 although listed for it. I have purchased three items from z1 parts so far and all three had to be returned due to being mislsbled or poor quality. But they always make it right no hassles

If you need to use stainless clamps, make sure you use the thin ones, if too fat they can squeeze the carbs out, rather than clamping them in tight.
Had that on a 550 once, seemed like a jammed open throttle as the carbs worked out of the manifold boots.

Sorry that lead didn't work out for you. :pinch: Partzilla shows them...but you'll need to check availability.
