Hey all, i just bought my first motorcycle a few days ago. 1981 Kz750 ltd. I was on here a few days ago looking through things and there was a topic that showed the removal of the air hoses on top of the carbs among other things and I've searched and searched and cant find it again. The reason i ask is that carbs 1-3 are capped and 4 has the hose hooked to it and I don't believe that is correct. I also have the sync gauges but they didnt come with any hoses and wondered what size i need to hook it up as i was told the carbs are out of sync.
I appreciate all the help i can get. moving blindly forward through this site and youtube lol

Try searching for "clean air system".
You probably need 5-6mm hoses.
And I might as well be the first to say it: The most important tool for your bike is the correct factory service manual which will tell you 90% of everything you need to know about it instantly. (EDIT: like the fact that syncing the carbs is the last thing you do after tuning everything else)

It sounds like you don't have the Clean Air system on there now but I think this is what you are looking for;

It doesn't really matter what carb the petcock is hooked up to but it is usually #2.
