Carb and rpm meter question was created by Prairie rider 29
Hey guys. Two quick questions..first one ... I have a 81 csr 650 and it's running lean, exhaust change... Does anyone know what the size is that came stock for jets? I need to figure out what to up it to.. Second question is.. The rpm tack was broken and I went to replace it.. I found one on eBay that said its the same as what I was needing... The problem I ran into was that the original has 5 wires and the one I was sent only has four.. Does anyone know if one of the wires can be bipassed and I just splice the new one into the old ones plug in?

The stock main jets are #92.5 (US models). Z1Enterprises.com has them in various sizes.

Did you get the tachometer on eebbaayy? Some info about it might help --- a link, wire colors, photo, that sort of thing.

The following site has the 81 KZ650 pdf manual with wiring diagram in the Files section. jarlef z650

I see what the problem is now.. One has a oil and fuel light and the other does not.. The plastic is cracked on the original, Iis it possible to pull everything apart and just switch that? If so how do I get it apart. I have all the screws out and iv tried twisting it off but no such luck. Sorry for some of the dumb questions! First bike.
