It isn't. As I said, you could remove all these plugs and throw them in the trash and that still wouldn't cause gas in the airbox.

What he said. You have fuel in your airbox because the the float valve is stuck open or not adjusted correctly. Also, have you made sure your petcock is operating correctly? No fuel should flow with the engine off and the lever in the on or res position.

I'll add my voice to the others. Check your floats, needles and seats. Manual?

Hi Guys.
I've been following this thread and have a question of my own.
I've just replaced my 127.5 main jets for 125. I also replaced some of the O-rings while I was at it.
Now I have the carbs back in, I'm not drawing fuel to the cylinders for ignition.
Did I need to prime the carbs before I refitted them?

No. Assuming everything was re-assembled properly they will fill on their own when you put the petcock in the Prime position. Ed

Just curious, why the 125 jets? Is the rest of your bike stock? If you're doing it to improve fuel economy, can you report back with your results?

Yeah, I followed the guide on the thread below.
I changed the gearing before I toured Europe in the Spring and managed to get 120 miles from the tank instead of the previous 100 miles. The rev's are now lower when cruising at 70-85 mph and she still accelerates well off the line.
