I think your block can handle the heat. My 903 block got very hot with the 1015 10.25/1 pistons. Seems better with the KZ 1000 block.
I'd get pinging at takeoff if I didn't expect it. Changed my jetting, block and not one ping.
It's like a blast furnace out here. I try to go out in the early hours.
