Kz1000J carbs on 82 GPZ 750?

Has anyone run stock 1000J or police model carbs on a 82 GPZ 750? I ask because I know the jetting is different on the bikes even though the carbs are basically the same. If someone has done this, I would like to know how the bike ran. Does anyone have knowledge of this set-up? was it a matter of simply swapping the carbs onto the bike or did you have to make changes to the carb? I have a set of carbs from a police model on hand.

I,m Still trying to get an answer on this subject. Does anyone know if you can simply run the 1000J carbs on the GPZ 750 with no jet changes.I I know they are both the came carbs, just different jets in the 750.

Changing the jets and needles between the two is no big deal, adjusting the carb spacing (if required) is more. Sometimes you just need to try these things.
