Manual petcock for 1983 KZ750 Spectre? was created by hollywoodpwnss
Picked up a 83 Spectre that we got running with a new battery and some gas only to realize the tank was stuck on PRI and the petcock was seized so the bike dumped a whole tank of gas in to the airbox and bottom end by the next morning. I tried searching around for a manual petcock as I'd rather just turn the tank on and off by myself and not have to deal with the vacuum one again. I find results for all sorts of other tanks but none for the 750. I'm sorry if this has been answered previously but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for by using the forum's search function.

Forgot to put the seat back on before the picture but I figured I'd at least share a picture.

If the bolt-hole spacing on your Spectre is 34mm,
here's a fuel valve topic with some options: KZR topic - Manual fuel valve option [

Unfortunately hollywoodpwnss you've got problems beyond the petcock. The weakness that the petcock demonstrated to you is that the float valves are leaking badly as well. This could be because the carbs are gummed up from sitting full of stale fuel or more likely because bits of rust and grit have migrated from the fuel tank into the carbs and is preventing the float valves from doing their jobs. At the very least you'll need to remove the bowls from the carbs to attempt a partial cleaning with the carbs still on the engine but it's more likely that a full carb overhaul is in order.
Sorry
Bill
