Carb overflowing ... again!!! was created by RFE81LTD1K
OK, I'm picking this up where I left of in my electrical issue thread in which later moved to a carb issue. The electrical issue is fine now. The carb issue isn't. Or at least it wasn't till I pulled the carbs again today. For the second time in a week I had a carb overflowing. The first time I found a pc of trash in the seat of #3 carb. Removed the trash and polished the seat all was good. Now this second time (#4 cyl) I removed all of the seats to check um for trash and polish all of them this time. What did I find ... remember telling me about a sliver of fuel line getting cut off from the inside when installing it onto a hose barb ... Yeah. That's exactly what I found sitting in the bottom of #4 seat. Bike runs great now. Except for the new clutch started slipping today.
Yeah, I know ... wrong forum for clutch problems. I'll make it short by saying I think the adjustment screw was too tight. I set it while the engine was cold and have now re-set it while hot. Haven't tested it yet but will tomorrow. If I still have a slipping issue I'll start another thread on it.

Have you replaced your fuel lines? They can come apart with age you know.
