Tank to Carbs.... Please Help!! was created by pocycle
So I took apart my 1991 kz100p in order to paint it and my carbs to clean them. Shortly thereafter I found out I had to move before I had a chance to put everything back together...... Soooooo, I now have no idea where the hoses go from the Fuel tank to the petcock to the carbs etc...... If anyone coould maybe send a couple pics that would be great. I have a manual but its the Cylmar version (not the most helpful as far as pics go). Sincerest thanks, Signed Nube!!

The petcock should have two barbs, one noticeably larger in diameter than the other. The large one is for fuel. The fuel hose should go from there to the fuel inlet which is low between carbs 2 & 3.
The smaller barb is for the vacuum that operates the petcock. A vacuum hose (smaller than the fuel hose) should go from there to the vacuum port on carb 2. As I recall, the vacuum port on each carb is near the carb holder and point upward at about 45 degrees. Two of them should have a rubber cap and the other is for the vacuum line from the air injection system on top of the engine.

In the 1st photo the round plastic thing is the fuel gauge cover ---the tubing is probably routed either to the airbox or behind the engine. I did not see a grommet in the airbox diagram, so it probably should go behind the engine, towards the ground --- forward of the swing arm and away from the chain & mufflers.
If the gasket on the fuel gauge leaks, the cover & tubing serve to direct fuel away from a hot engine.

I was expecting there to be a canister do-dad system for the bike,
but I guess government vehicles don't have to worry about EPA regs. hee.
