Ok do I've been helping a buddy of mine work on his 82 GS850 he bought it running but it bogged. I dissasembled carbs cleaned (they were actually super clean already) re assembled.. Same thing. Haven't replaced O rings yet in boots but manifolds themselves blook new and are pliable.
Thing is bike is rideable but bogs when twisting throttle more than 1/4 to 1/2. Now if you just blip throttle it will rev then past a certain throttle position like I said bog. All diaphrams also look new. I've read where these bikes are lean. PS bike was not even rideable with factory air box removed. Seems lean but where to look with everything seemingly clean.. I did bench set floats but did not use clear tubing yet nor did I sync due to not having manifold nipples for my guages.
Edit.. I just rode bike and it seems to start bogging just after 2k and comes on about 4k and pulls hard.

Does the bike currently have the stock air box and air filter in place? Ed

Yes it is completely unrideable without it all in place

I have also sprayed the boots and O ring areas with WD40 with no noticeable change in idle.. The o rings are getting changed next time carbs come off though.

There's a small orifice in the carb bowl for the enrichment circuit, run the wire from a bread twist wrap thru it, make sure it's clean, same with the pilot jets, run a small wire thru them. Not just one time, then blow thru all passages. Do you have a new filter for the airbox? They're foam and fall apart easily. Did you check the manifold o-rings? Mine were cracked where they seal to the head, new o-rings and some light sealant stopped that leak.

Just went thru this with a gs1000 I had. Luckily Suzuki didnt have their head up their ass when they designed the GS series, airbox out, then carbs, in what five minutes?

Ive blown carb cleaner through all passages. But not sure which one is enrichment circuit. All jets are clear.. I have a medical instrument ( I think it's what they look in your ears with) with light that really makes it easy to see in tiny passages like jets. Yes filter is new. Im going to pull manifolds off next time I pull carbs but I sprayed WD 40 on all boots and between head and manifolds with no idle change. He is buying new o rings then. He just don't know it yet.
Is the enrichment circuit the tube hanging down into float bowl ?

also when you clean them, bevel the edges on a carburetor spray can spray nozzle and spray thru all orifices on the carb to insure flow and help clean them out..

Did you check if the jets are the factory sizes and OEM or new ones? Cheap after market jets can be pretty bad.

They were factory jets. Every orifice flows freely. Rubber gasket on air filter has turned to dust. So I'm going to use weather stripping to seal filter up. I really can't believe any bike would be so lean that it is unrideable without filter box on. I get maybe a little lean.. But not unrideable. Won't rev period. I read that suzuki didn't use emission stuff thru just ran bikes super lean in low power circuit to pass emission testing. I don't see any emission stuff and bike is bone stock. Like I said I'm going to seal air filter and sync carbs and see how that does.

This posting suzuki 82 Suzuki GS850. I'll post pic next time I'm in garage. I work mids so anything done to bike or even seeing it lol is on weekends. When I joined this forum I had a 76KZ900. Rebuilt top end chromed out and sold it..Wish I didn't... Also had modded 1200ZRX.. SAME.. Wish I still had it. This Suzuki is my buddy's bike. But the carbs are nearly identical to my 1100 so I figured it was worth asking.
