KZ550 ltd pods - jetting?? was created by catastrophe621
im running an 82 kz550 ltd with a tk22 carb and pods and a mac 4into1 and silencer. it was great over the winter after I installed the dynojet stage 3 - 112 main and dynojet needle at 3rd click it surged in power when cruising so when my float valve started leaking I had the carb soaked and cleaned at the local shop and I installed new gaskets and float valves, but now I just cant find the right mix ive tried several size mains im kinda stumped, ive ironed out some other thing like the slide heights were off and I now have access to the air mix screws and new screws
any ideas on where to start I have mains in 92 stock 98 102 108 112 as well as new stock and dynojet needles
Im pretty sure I need to be down around the 98 102 but ive also moved the air mix screws. the setting was 1 and 1/4 for a stock bike

Dynojet and mikuni numbering systems i think are different , it is confusing.
I used 105 mains and raised the needle a notch on my tk22 carb GPz550.
This has been discussed here very recently - seek and ye shall find.
