You said non of that pol crap here, but his bike was imported & might still have the Kawasaki clean air system. From his description it sounds like it's been disconnected. I just wanted to make sure he was aware of it, and was sorta pointing out why the bike was plumbed with tubing the way he described & that he can get rid of the excess tubing & cap the ports. The system doesn't bother me & a guy doesn't have to keep the stock jetting if it's too lean.

I always link 1 and 4 2 and 3 with a T to the fuel tap from either. Probably uneccessary if the carbs are balanced but that is how I've always done it.

ZR CB900F Bol' Dor Love those bikes, and the ultra rare CB1100F. Has that motor been rebuilt much? 250k is impressive.

I've no idea about a clean air system as I've never heard of it, it was originally from colorado, im assuming that the po used only the prime tap when running it, after cleaning the carbs(very gunked up) it started first time with no leaks and idles until I turn it off(I did try it when I first got the bike and it didn't fire in but petrol started to pour out of my airbox), I have the original setup of pipes from #2-#3 and a T'd pipe from #1-#4 going to the vacuum tap on the petcock and everything seems good, again thank you all for your help

TC - i rebuilt top end (pistons, rings)twice with new cam chains - head done once.
and bottom end once - just bearings. Only thing i didnt like about it was 1 too many cam chains but was very reliable

When i got it in 83 it had the giant coke can paint job with big fairing - voltmeter etc - next had a CB 1100 R fairing and was like this for a long time

Never used pods - just put them on to see what it looked like- too many dirt roads here.
