leaking fuel out of the mouth of the carb

I have a 1982 gpz750 and it's running fine but when I shut it down it continues to leak fuel out of the mouth of the carburetor(2nd one from the left when you are sitting on the bike). I rebuilt the petcock and it continued. i rebuilt the carburetors myself but had a shop that specializes in vintage bikes adjust the floats because i didn't think I was getting them right. That's about it, any help would be appreciated :)

Yup.Sounds like the floats.I had an old Honda did the same thing. As a temporary fix,I found tapping the float bowl with the lock (something hard) did the trick.

since I rebuit the petcock it seems to be intermittent now. The last couple times I started it there was no leak. It's too cold to ride right now but tomorrow looks like it's going to be nice. Maybe it will be good now. Thanks
