I did a bad..

So I was going through teaching my little brother how to check the level of a float bowl and adjust it. We were doing good until I screwed up.. With gas on my hands I accidentally dropped my carbs :'( they bounced off my brothers forearm and knee and hit the concrete. nothing looks broken although I now have an issue of the choke won't work (If I put the choke on the butterflies just stay horizontal instead of going vertical.. Anybody have any advice? I feel so stupid

Edit: I should say it is a 82 kz750 spectre

I guess I am wondering if there is a spring that could have broken or something that could have gone kiddywompus. FOR NOW (not a perm fix) I was able to use a pen spring to make it snap back into place. Thanks again for the help

Lol I did, actually bought him a McD shamrock shake for it lol and he has saved me before and I have saved his ass before as well. Kinda sad that he is one of the few kids in his high school who actually understands how a carb works none the less knows what one is!!

Now going out to the garage to pull the carbs off. 12 hour shifts take it out of you believe it or not

20 years ago I pulled ten, then drove back home 130 miles bacause my teen age kids wouldn't behave. If Dad's pissed, they are too. Get as much time in while you can.

so I think this is the part that is giving me issues, it is the little roller assembly that opens and closes the choke assembly. Sorry for the potato cam photos but that is the best my 720p webcam can do until I find my camera, you can see a metallic spring that goes to a bowl, that is that pen spring I have jerry rigged to close it better. if you need pics of some other part or anything don't be afraid to ask!

That is what a good parent looks like, my dad has sacrificed a lot for my brother and I, I enjoy spending what time I can with him. This past summer my dad, two of his friends, and myself made a trip down to ride the Ozarks. It was a great time. Although we made it about 100 miles before my starter went out.
