Looking to buy new set of carbs. Currently have 77 KZ 1000 with 1075 piston. Heads not ported and have stock cams.
Looking for advise on what carbs to get to be able to ride now, with head work and new cams later. Any input would be greatly appericated. Also have set of 29 Smoothbore carbs for sale. Will post pictures later of carbs for sale.

The 29s should work brilliantly on a mild 1075.

Vm28's should be basically as good as the 29s, (the newer non-z1 type) they are comparable to the 29s

But, if you already have the 29s and want to "get running" you could use those

my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550

I wanted to run the 29's, but really have hard time with getting float height correct and not running smoothly. I brought the clear tube for getting float height correct, but just still having problems.

It's worth the effort. My 33's are too big. The engine just can't take that much juice.

What problems?
Should be able to achieve correct fuel level via float tang adjustment.

Good Fortune! :)

So I want to get new carbs for my bike. Need to know the best and most reliable place that sells new carbs, with no problems. I like the idea of the 29 CR Specials. Would like to get the RS34, but with no head work (ie: cams or porting), just looking for advise from some of you out there. Thx in advance.
Also have those 29 Smoothbore for sell.
