KZ 400 2 to 1 Manifold carburator , mikuni VM 34

Hi Everyone ,

good evening , i recently bough 3 kits of 2 to 1 manifold for the KZ 400 1979 ( european versions ) , to fit with a single Minkuni VM 34 , we made a first test with the carb and a filter pod from K & N , and after a few Kilometres the carburettor starts to Freeze , then once you gas the throttle stays high .. ( needle does not come down from the freezing carb ) .. any ideas , suggestions .. does anyone have the "perfect jetting for this "

i am in Barcelona 0 level humidity normal of a sea side city , never to cold .

A pressure drop will cause a reduction in temperature. A pressure increase
will cause a temperature rise. If you don't believe me try fealing the air tank
on an air compressor. It will heat up as it builds pressure. If you open the valve
and release the pressure the temperature drops. You have to much of a pressure
drop. To much velocity.

Hi , thanks for the reply .. so this means if i reduce the air intake ( filter it more ) it will then that cause a reduction in temperature ?

do i have to change anything in the Jetting ?

It's the size of the venturi of the carb.
Are you positive of the carb size?
Have you measured it?
Are you sure of engine displacement? It's cast into the front of the cylinder block.
You live by a large body of water and have no humidity?

restricting the air will also cause the velocity to go up,thus compounding the problem.
can you try a bigger carb?
