I personally support Z1Enterprises.com when I can because they combine good prices and customer service. I am sure you will be able to find someone who is selling the same kit for a dime less somewhere but when you do find that company, try and find their phone number bwhahaha
The springs? The kit works for a variety of VM24 carb assemblies. Some have pilot fuel mixture screws (sharp pointy screw) and the longer spring goes under that screw. The shorter spring goes under the air screws. Your carbs will use one or the other but not both.
For some reason, the kit pictured shows a longer and shorter air screw but I am not sure I have ever seen a VM24 use the shorter screw which is set deeper into the air screw well in order to get a plug over the top of it. The longer screws can't be capped as they protrude from the well.

ok, i did order from z1 enterprize!! first time, and very pleased, $85 w/ shipping awsome deal! (will do more deals with them)
they were very helpful and they even called to tell me i paid for 2nd day air shipping from ups and it would be cheaper to do 2 day ground (fed-x) and i would get it on saturday instead of monday from (ups dont ship on sat) and save me money(few bucks)
my carbs
1977 kz650 b-1 w/ vm24 stock carbs i think!
so i wont need a spring under the pilot? (if i have one on the air adjustment)?
how do i adjust the pilot screw?(is it adjustable)? top screw or bottom?
do i take out the top and usew bottom to adjust or the one on top to adjust it?
could this be why it runs for 5 min then dies?
when it come to carbs i have almost no skills, lol!
im going searching agian now through the archives for more info on my carbs!!
thanks all!!

Steve, Your questions were sort of confusing... Do you have a Kaw Factory Service Manual or a Clymers? If not, you had best get one prior to working on the carburetors.
